Beta opens a new chapter with the SINCRO 2T, a generation of trials designed to further bring the rider closer to his machine. The Italian brand is not talking about a simple evolution, but about a completely revised project, available in 125, 250, 300 2T and 300 2T SS. Availability is announced for November, without a price announced at this stage.

Key takeaway - Beta SINCRO 2T arrives in 125, 250, 300 and 300 SS, with an unprecedented aluminum frame, revised engine and an announcement of a presentation for November.

A deeply redesigned chassis base

The starting point of the project remains a very identifiable element in Beta: the aluminum alloy frame with hydroformed tank. The brand retains this principle, because it has already proven itself in terms of agility and maneuverability. But everything else changes deeply.

The geometry of the frame is evolving, with new forged elements at the front and rear. These parts are welded onto the integrated tank and contribute to a more compact assembly. Beta also emphasizes the work done on the steering column, reinforced with fewer welds, in order to increase rigidity. The radiator adopts new mounting points, also forged, while the engine mounts are modified to improve overall rigidity.

The goal displayed is clear: to obtain a thinner, less bulky and easier-to-handle motorcycle, in order to raise the level of performance and maneuverability.

What to remember about the cycle part

  • Aluminum frame restored but completely reworked
  • Modified geometry
  • Reinforced steering column
  • Radiator fixed differently
  • Engine mounts revised for more rigidity
  • Wheelbase and mass distribution optimized for trial

Suspensions adapted for more precise driving

The fork and the mono-shock absorber have also been deeply retouched. At the front, the fork gains a reduced total length of 10 mm. The housings are new, with revised internal treatments. Beta also indicates an adapted hydraulic adjustment with a different oil, in 5W. The idea is to obtain a more versatile and more sensitive fork to adjustments, in order to adapt to several styles of riding.

At the rear, the single shock absorber is repositioned. Its upper mounting has been advanced, and the lower mounting on the bushings has been modified to achieve greater rigidity and a more progressive response. The aluminum body remains very light and retains the spring tension and preload settings. On the other hand, the presence of a gas inflation valve now makes maintenance easier.

The desired result is a more readable, more progressive and less tiring motorcycle, especially in technical areas where precision matters more than raw power.

Equipment designed to gain control

Beta also reviewed several concrete points of the driving position and equipment.

The rear brake benefits from a repositioning of the pedal axis to improve power and control, especially on descents or when passing on the rear wheel. The fork heads are completely new, with a unique forged piece and a more modern design. The wheel hubs have also been redesigned to promote precision in cornering.

The electrical system has been reorganized to better integrate with the motorcycle and simplify maintenance. The voltage regulator is replaced to improve electrical stability and limit the risk of overload. The air box adopts a two-part architecture and is fixed at the rear on new forged aluminum mounts.

The set is completed by a new thinner plastic housing, as well as a new co-molded tank lid that integrates the mapping selection button.

A completely new engine

The most striking transformation concerns the engine, however. Beta speaks of a completely new design, retaining only the bore and stroke dimensions of the 300 2T, i.e. 79 x 60,5 mm.

The casings change, and the internal transmission circuit is reversed compared to the previous generation: the kick shifts to the right and the final transmission returns to the left. The general idea is to better centralize the moving masses to promote maneuverability.

The engine crankshaft is reduced in diameter, weight and inertia, while the crankshaft gains mass. The stroke between the crankshaft and the axis of the swinging arm is reduced by 2 mm. The cylinder is completely new, with an internal geometry revised at the level of the transfers.

A redesigned admission for more reactivity

It is above all the admission system that changes its logic. Admission now enters directly into the cylinder, without intermediate passages. The valve box is thus closer to the base of the cylinder, and the duct is strongly shortened. Beta explains that this architecture helps to better exploit the resonance waves and to anticipate the opening of the valves.

Concretely, the brand aims for a clearer response to the throttle, better availability at low revs and a more progressive acceleration. The objective is not only pure performance: it is above all about obtaining a more precise, cleaner and easier-to-operate engine in technical trial.

The electric starter can be mounted as an accessory thanks to the provision provided on the crankcase, except on the 125 cm³. The associated battery takes up space behind the headlight assembly. The cylinder block becomes a single piece, and the outer crankcases are redesigned in magnesium alloy to contain the weight.

The exhaust retains the characteristic widening of the collector, but it is adapted to the performance of this new engine. The silencer has also been revised in terms of functionality and aesthetics.

Cooling and transmission: details that matter

Beta has also redesigned the cooling to limit visible hoses and integrate the circuit more into the engine. The radiator becomes more compact while keeping the same heat exchange surface. It can now switch to its lower mounts, with simplified access to the cap.

The water pump is more compact and designed to circulate the liquid through internal passages. A nylon insert prevents direct contact between the coolant and the clutch half-case. The aim is to gain in compactness without sacrificing efficiency.

On the lower part of the engine, the gearbox receives new geometries. The gear ratio of the shafts is increased by 2 mm, but the overall assembly remains more compact and lighter transversely. Beta retains a six-speed gearbox and also modifies the primary transmission. The new clutch abandons the springs in favor of a conical roller, according to the brand's press release.

In short: a Beta trial thought of as a coherent set

The SINCRO 2T is not a one-off update. Beta has touched on the frame, suspension, equipment, engine, cooling and transmission. The guiding idea is to center everything around a thinner, more responsive and easier-to-place motorcycle in the terrain.

For the trial rider, the interest is obvious: more precision, a more direct engine control, and a motorcycle designed to reduce fatigue in the most technical sections. It remains to be seen how this base will translate on the track, from November, when the first models will be available.
