Freenduro tested this winter the combination of Lock-on Kira handlebars and Vector handguards from Circuit Equipment on a Beta 250 RR X-Pro 2026. The test mainly highlights the ease of assembly, the resistance in muddy conditions and a contained pricing positioning, with some limitations on the side of grip finesse and adjustment of certain elements.
A simple combo to assemble and designed for committed use
In his tests published on March 24, 2026, Freenduro mounted the Lock-on Kira grips and Vector handguards on a 2026 Beta 250 RR X-Pro used all winter, in very humid and muddy conditions.
The media insists on the practical interest of the Lock-on system: no glue, no ligature, and a quick mounting on the clutch side as on the accelerator side. Freenduro notes however that an accelerator cam that does not take up exactly the original shape may require adjustment by the cable tensioners.

- Quick assembly of Lock-on Kira handles.
- Compatibility of cam to be adjusted according to the motorcycle.

Kira handles: solid fit, firm feel
According to Freenduro, the Kira are thin, rather firm and offer a direct feeling to the handlebar. The grip is considered correct in most situations, but a little less biting when the conditions become really greasy.
The strength highlighted by the test concerns the mechanical grip: despite several falls, mud and a rainy winter, the system does not turn on the handlebar or the gas tube. The test also highlights the solidity of the tips, which remained intact after the impacts.
- Sturdy grips, little filtering for vibrations.
- Zero rotation detected during the test.
- Texture considered a little light in the very fat.

Vector hand guards: flexible, but not universal
Freenduro presents the Vector as fully plastic gloves, easy to assemble and sold around €35 as part of this test. The media appreciates the presence of nylstop screws and the assembly logic, even if the adjustment of the straps is described as improvable.
The point of failure came from a fall into a greasy ditch: the support paw absorbed the twist without breaking and then came back into place. Freenduro however believes that a very violent frontal impact or a shock against a tree would exceed their capabilities, making it a robust but not invincible solution.
- Simple assembly, but adjustment of the necklaces to be taken care of.
- Flexible behavior in case of lateral fall.
- Useful protection, without promise of invulnerability.

Value for money: the main argument of Freenduro
The test mainly concludes on the pricing positioning of the combo: €33 for the Kira handles and about €35 for the Vector gloves as part of the test. Freenduro considers the whole set particularly coherent for a rider who wants to equip his motorcycle without aiming for premium.
On the other hand, the media recalls several reservations: a little hard handles, less convincing grip in the most annoying rain, hand guards that are not always precisely adjusted and ventilated protection that lets cold air pass through in winter.
- Pricing positioning highlighted by Freenduro.
- Good choice for an engaged enduro use and limited budget.
- Compromise to accept on comfort and finish.

At the end of this test, Freenduro sees in the Kira/Vector duo a pragmatic solution: simple, resistant and inexpensive, with compromises made on comfort and assembly precision.

Frequently asked questions
Does this test concern an original Beta part?
No. Freenduro tests Circuit Equipment accessories here mounted on a Beta 250 RR X-Pro 2026, not original equipment.
Are Vector gloves suitable for all shocks?
No. The test highlights their flexibility in the event of a lateral fall, but specifies that a very violent frontal impact or against a tree can exceed their limits.
